why can't we all just get along?

people always say love is the answer. yes i think it is. more so, respect is the answer. i agree that each and every one of us has his own opinion. we were made this way, intelligent enough to think for ourselves. the problem is, some have such strong views that they want others to think the same. they go out of their way to make others follow them and their beliefs. there lies the problem.


i honestly don't think the whole of humanity can 'just get along'. imagine, we sometimes can't get along with our mothers, our fathers, siblings, friends, coworkers, girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands, wives, children, etc. my point is, we have differences with the people around us, multiply that to millions of people. imagine the chaos. everybody getting along simply can not and will not happen. we WANT to get along but we simply can't. what we could, though, is to RESPECT each and everyone's opinions. i may hate someone but i will listen to what he has to say. i may not agree with it but as long as i have respect for what he has to say, then we're good. we could be civil with each other. there's no fighting, or arguing, just listening to what the other has to say.
